Why are no blogs up in arms about theOutnet.com FAIL?

While I was up and at the gym at the crack of dawn, my iPhone (sitting in a locker and patiently awaiting my return from dead lifts and calf raises) received the all important email announcement of the beginning of theOutnet.com's $1 Birthday Sale at 6:45am.

I read the email at about 7:45, tapped immediately over to the site and tragically, the sale was already over. I turned to facebook to express my outrage that the sale was absurdly early and lasted for less than one hour! And, apparently, fellow fashionistas did not have any better luck in the European version of the sale.  Tragic.

Shrugging my shoulders, I thought to myself, "well, at least my fave blogs will be able to join in on my "wtf?" feelings."  And, despite checking racked.com and others a few times this morning, no one seems have noticed that the sale came and went in the blink of an eye.

I can almost understand the #fail on the part of theOutnet (who really wants their whole inventory to be sold for .01% of their potential profit), but for fellow shoppers obsessed with the idea of such an online bargain to barely even comment on it - unacceptable and inexplicable.

(Good news, though, is that I just learned there is an H&M smack dab in the middle of White Plains.)

Best part of summer

Waiting for the bf to get ready for our first trip of the year to Woodbury Commons. Well, the waiting isn't the best part - but heading to Woodbury is! (I don't really enjoy outlet shopping in the freezing weather) I hope the MINI can handle all the potential bags…

Every part of me wants these

Every part of me used to DESPISE wedges.  But, now every part of me is craving a pair to add to my shoe wardrobe.  Of course... *shakes head*

I mean, I still shudder at the sight of these or these, but the new take on wedges is really hitting home.  Plus every time I visit fashiontoast, I see Rumi in her various sky-high black wedges and it just makes me want them more.

I'm on the lookout for the perfect black pair, but until then, I'll just lust after these brown Miu Miu wedges instead.

Remember the good ol' days...

...when wearing head to toe denim was a fashion faux pas?

Granted the model in the feature doesn't look *terrible*, but she doesn't look amazing either.

Sometimes I wonder if the fashion elite are simply playing tricks on the little people when they try to convince us that head to toe denim is cool and not a prison uniform, that socks with sandals is trendy and not a German stereotype, and that tucking your scarf into your belt isn't just completely ridiculous looking.
